Preventative & Wellness Care

Nokomis Pet Clinic recognizes the importance of preventative and wellness care for your pets.  By helping educate all owners to the benefit of preventative and wellness care, we help you provide the best possible long-term health and well being for your pet(s).  Preventative care may help our staff better identify and treat medical problems early in their course and may allow for early and appropriate intervention.

Preventative and wellness care for each animal varies upon their age and health, but may include:

• Annual or semi-annual health exam
• Individualized vaccination protocols
• Internal and external parasite management
• Infectious disease screening
• Metabolic disease screening
• Dietary and nutritional counseling
• Behavior counseling
• Dental health care
• Senior health screen, which may include survey laboratory tests and/or x-rays
